My testimony in a nutshell, of when I first heard from God. I was 10 years of age and in the 5th grade. I was playing basketball with some of my friends and saw a King Praying Mantis on a hedge. Well, being kids we put him in a jar to get a better look, and as we were taking turns looking, my one friend shook the jar and I felt bad. Then my other friend shook the jar and my heart started to cry, so I grabbed the jar and ran home and sat behind my pool all by myself and said "God, please save this Praying Mantis" I am sorry I captured him and put him in this jar, please let him live, and I promise never to harm anything of yours again". Then in that moment in time, I heard Gods voice speak to me and say "Do you promise"? I was startled, and said "Is that you God"? My spirit man knew it was God, but since that was all knew to me, I asked, but I also knew it was Him. He never answered me in words, but I knew in that moment in time, He was fully there with me. That was 51 years ago and He has never left my side. wow!!!
